1. Agreement
By creating an account, linking Google, accepting a Home invitation, pairing a device or otherwise using Kazenagi Home, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you use the service for another person or organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind them.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be legally capable of entering this agreement. Minors may use the service only with the permission and supervision required by applicable law. Keep your sign-in methods and devices secure, provide accurate information and notify us promptly of suspected unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless applicable law provides otherwise.
You may sign in by verified email/password or, when enabled, Google. Linking Google connects that Google identity to the same Kazenagi account; it does not transfer ownership of the account to Google.
3. The service
Kazenagi provides a portal and central service for organising Homes, rooms, members and compatible air conditioners; viewing device and environmental status; sending controls; running schedules and dry-out workflows; and receiving related account communications. Some capabilities may be labelled preview, beta or planned and may change before general release.
A Home owner or administrator can invite people and assign roles. Members must only invite people they are authorised to include. Each user must respect the access boundaries and privacy of other Home members.
4. Smart-home safety and your responsibilities
- Kazenagi is a convenience service, not an emergency, life-safety, medical, fire-prevention, security or guaranteed animal-welfare system.
- Remote controls and schedules depend on electricity, the air conditioner, Kazenagi Link, local network, Internet access and the central service. Commands may be delayed, rejected, superseded or unavailable. Always verify critical changes and retain access to the appliance’s normal controls.
- Before changing temperature, mode, fan or schedules, consider people, animals, plants, property and manufacturer instructions. Pet mode is an aid, not a guarantee of a safe environment.
- The dry-out workflow sends fan operation before power-off as a convenience. It does not guarantee removal of moisture, prevention of mould, equipment protection or compliance with a manufacturer’s maintenance instructions.
- You are responsible for installation, electrical and HVAC safety, device compatibility and lawful use. Do not rely on Kazenagi to override an unsafe appliance or environment.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use the service to break the law; access a Home, account or device without permission; harm people, animals, property, devices or networks; interfere with service operation; evade access controls or rate limits; probe for vulnerabilities without written authorisation; distribute malware; submit unlawful or infringing content; impersonate others; or use the service to build a competing dataset through automated extraction. Reasonable, authorised interoperability and security reporting are welcome through [email protected].
6. Third-party services and equipment
The service may depend on Google Identity Services, email providers, weather/geocoding services, hosting/network providers, compatible air conditioners and Internet services. Their own terms and privacy policies may apply. Kazenagi is not responsible for third-party availability or changes outside our control. Manufacturer and product names belong to their respective owners; unless expressly stated, Kazenagi is not endorsed by or affiliated with those manufacturers.
7. Intellectual property and licence
Kazenagi and its licensors retain rights in the service, software, designs, branding and documentation. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the service for its intended home-control purposes. This does not restrict rights granted separately under an open-source licence for identified components. Feedback may be used to improve the service without an obligation to compensate you, but we will not claim ownership of your personal data.
8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how personal data, Google sign-in data, device data and necessary session technology are handled. You must have an appropriate basis before entering another person’s data or assigning them to a Home or room.
9. Availability, updates and service changes
We aim to operate the service reliably but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. We may maintain, secure, update, limit or discontinue features, particularly preview functionality. Where reasonably practicable, we will provide notice of material changes that adversely affect normal use. Device firmware and service updates may be needed for security, compatibility or reliability.
10. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service and delete your account, subject to transferring or deleting any solely owned Home. We may limit or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address security, abuse, legal requirements, non-payment for a future paid service, or a material breach of these Terms. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, liability and dispute terms—will continue.
11. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service and preview features are provided “as is” and “as available”. We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement and continuous availability. We do not warrant that every appliance is compatible, every reading is accurate, or every command, notification, schedule, weather result or dry-out workflow will complete. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kazenagi will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or loss of profits, revenue, data, use or goodwill arising from the service. For direct loss, our aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for the service during the 12 months before the event or USD 100 (or the equivalent in local currency). These limits do not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable.
13. Applicable law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws that apply to the Kazenagi operator and the service. To the extent the law permits a choice of forum, a dispute may be brought before a competent court that has jurisdiction over the operator or in the place where you ordinarily live. Nothing in these Terms removes mandatory consumer protections or rights to use a court, tribunal or regulator available where you live. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern informally.
14. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms to reflect service, security, legal or operational changes. We will update the date above and provide additional notice where required. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms; if you do not agree, stop using the service. Questions may be sent to [email protected].
